North Point Christian Church

Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know where to go once I arrive?

We have two buildings on our property. Our main building is on the NE corner of Mill and College streets. That’s where our auditorium, nursery, and offices are located. Our second building (a renovated restaurant) is on the north side of our property and is where our kids’ programs are located (Pre-K through 4th grade), along with our Preteen (5th and 6th grade) and Youth (7th-12th grade) areas  in the back, and a few other classrooms. We have plenty of parking by both buildings.

Do you have a nursery?

We have a clean, safe nursery in our main building that is staffed by trained and caring workers.  We offer a nursery at 9:00 and 10:15.

Do you have a “child protection policy?”

Everyone who works with children and youth must have a background check and complete a training course on child protection and safety. We take the safety and well-being of your child serious and do our very best to provide a place where kids feel secure and parents feel confident. You can find a copy on our forms page.

What kind of leadership do you have?

We have a group that gives oversight to the overall vision of the church and it is made up of our three staff members and three elders. Even though our elders are men, we affirm the leading and service of women at North Point.  Our church family is represented by the NP Leadership Team… a larger group of men and women from all different areas of our church life who give insight, leadership and influence to our weekly programs.

What do you teach about communion?

It’s a tradition of ours to serve the Lord’s Supper in both of our worship hours every Sunday morning. Sometimes it is solemn and reflective and other times it is more festive and interactive.

Are you a charismatic church?

By popular definition, nope. You won’t find any speaking in tongues in our services, even though our music and worship is often very passionate and expressive.

How can I get involved?

The quickest way to get involved is to send an email to office@npcc.cc and let us know what you are interested in. We will pass your information on to a leader who will get in touch with you right away!

Will you be asking me for money?

We don’t pass trays, but there is a box available every Sunday.  Some people give money online through their bank.  You can even give some money via Paypal.  But we think our approach to money might be a little different from what you see in the headlines.  It takes money to operate.  We hope everybody does their part to support what we do.
